What began as a hobby quickly grew into an all consuming obsession. The first inception of this site went online in early 2005, back when Geocities was still a thing. I started skipping classes in college to read books on photography and websites on HTML code. For years, this site was my testing ground for new codes and practices. So much so that it was a constant joke amongst friends.. but the content was so solid that we still managed to get 10-40,000 page views a month.

DefenzMechanizm’s first picture by Warren Whitmore
In early 2006, things were forever changed when i started to conspire with a creature calling herself “DefenzMechanizm“. Without a doubt, she is the most creative and unique individual I’ve ever encountered. Her creativity is only limited by her own self perception, and in her I found my first real Muse. For the next two years, we fed each others creativity and drive, working on photo projects and traveling for events across the US. Instrumental in this was Jsin from Atlanta, who runs Secretroom.net, and was the first person give her a platform to perform from. Even though we now live in different cities, DefenzMechanizm is still an integral part of this site and regular contributor, and a lifelong friend.
Also Instrumental is Pro Photographer Erik Valind, whom I worked with at Apple. Erik was the first person who made me feel like being a professional photographer was a possibility, rather than an out of reach abstraction. We worked on several projects together over the course of little over a year, which is the closest thing to an education in photography i’ve had.

Superstar Cariss White
So many of the people on here are such close friends I consider them family; Carissa White, Amanda Stone, Danielle, Malice, Ann, Kimber, Nicole, Angelica… They inspire in me the creativity and drive to continue this, and i can honestly say I would be a much different person if not for their positive influence on my life.
Finally I feel confident that its time to take everything to the next level. This has grown bigger than I can manage on my own. My love of things that exist outside of the box of mainstream culture isn’t as inaccessible or narrowly defined as it was a decade ago. There are so many unique and undefinable fragments that together make up an indescribable whole, and with the rise of social media it’s become easy to connect with one another.
Currently, i’m looking for people in different locals with a similar love of all things counter culture. I want this to showcase the best talent our world has to offer. Fashion, Music, Culture, the Arts. All of it, and the people who struggle and inspire in a world that isn’t always receptive or appreciative.
This project continues to exist for the people who cannot help but to express themselves, to create, and be unique.
Truly this is My Love, My Lust, My Everything.
